I grew up in Florida. Not in any one of the fun cities, but in a small, Gulf-coast town of 7,000 people. I spent the first twenty-three years of my life there, and then I met Jason on the internet and moved to Oregon to be with him.

We got married in 2008.

In 2009, two weeks shy of our first wedding anniversary, Jason was diagnosed with testicular cancer. It was a transformative period in our lives and one that I would absolutely take back if I could. We grew closer and our marriage was stronger but we also had no money and he went through chemo and was left infertile and it was all very, very difficult.

Anyway.

I currently live in Oregon with my husband and our adorable dog Hurley. Jason is in school to finish his bachelor’s degree. I am trying to maintain some semblance of order and adulthood. This is a blog about that.
